I have cerebral palsy and find the straps of pushchairs really fiddly. Does anyone know of a pushchair with easier fasteners/one handed fasteners? Deborah |

Hi, I'm a mum to an 18 month old with RA & had a nightmare with the buggy fasteners and reverted to asking REMAP to make a gadget which unclips the fasteners as I was getting so frustrated. However, I have since been told that the Phil & Ted buggies have easy fasteners & having had a quick look in a shop recently they do look ok. Hope this helps. Hi, i got MND and due to my weakness i find more and more difficult the fasteners of the pushchair. I asked to remap something to help me but didn't answer. I went to mothercare to check the Phil and Ted buggies and i found them very expensive. What can i do? Any advice? Thanks Sara |

quote:Hi Sara, I have cerebral palsy and asked the same question about a month ago as I also find the buggies a nightmare! I used a Mclaren Volo which I found really difficult and almost impossible to unfasten when my hands were cold. I tried lots of different ones in a baby shop and have just bought a Silver Cross Pop. The fastener can be opened with one hand and it is hugely easier than anything else I have tried. Plus it is about 90 quid so cheaper than Phil and Teds. It might be worth giving it a go. Deborah

Hi Deborah, Thank you very much for your help. I will try the Silver Cross Pop in the shop. But i would like something that leave the fasteners loose and after sit your child you fit in the back of the buggie with only one hand and very easy like velcro system. Did you find anything like that in your search? Sara |

Hi Sarah, Once you've found the model you want, you could see if it's cheaper on ebay. Some of the on-line baby shops do new models much cheaper than mothercare. Or you could try and find one at your local NCT sales (though buggies like Phil and Teds are like gold dust there), Or put a post on your local mumsnet bulletin board and ask if anyone in your area has one to sell to you., Hope you find the right one. Hi Heather, Thanks for your information. I think that the best buggie for me is the Phil and Ted's because the fasteners are very easy. And that's true that on-line is cheaper but not too much. I will try at NCT or mumsnet bulletin board. Sara |

Hello! I am Estrella and from to Spain. I have paralisi cerebral and I have problems of I balance. I move with walker or electronic wheelchair. I Am trying to have left pregnant. What but it worries to me is the subject to transport baby. I have thought about a knapsack carries baby but I do not know if it will be tired for the boy. The ideal would be to be able to connect wheelchair a cart drinks on my legs that much site does not occupy so that there am to use elevator or a Soft Hip Carrier. Do you know if it exists? Thank you very much. Estrella |
